Sorry to interrupt your viewing of the Sharky Whalebone Show and the Octopus Extravaganza, but news is just coming in that Pappi, the notorious fish-egg dealer and cod man, has escaped from his confines on Devil's Island.

It is thought that his escape plan was devised by Swordid-Fish, Pappi's partner in crime, and that Pappi could now be anywhere between Devil's Island and the deep blue sea.

Pappi was caught up in a net of crime since the early days of the underwater underworld, culminating in the salmonella poisonings of '51. He was finally caught by a police-dogfish working undercover and, after the trawl, sent to Devil's Island to await his sentence - the electric eel. The date for his punishment was never set - the eel having other fish to fry.

All fish are warned to be on their guard. Don't approach this criminal for any reason - he has got arms and is considered dangerous.
